Security Bulletin
Summary
IBM Planning Analytics Workspace is affected by vulnerabilities. Node.js is an open-source and cross-platform JavaScript runtime environment (CVE-2022-43548). Angular is a JavaScript framework that extends HTML (CVE-2020-7676). Logback is a logging library for Java (CVE-2021-42550). Golang Go Text is a repository of text-related packages related to internationalization and localization (CVE-2021-38561, CVE-2022-32149). These vulnerabilities have been addressed.
Vulnerability Details
CVEID: CVE-2021-38561
DESCRIPTION: Golang Go Text is vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by an improper index calculation that allows an incorrectly formatted language tag to panic Parse. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to trigger an out-of-bounds read and cause a denial of service.
CVSS Base score: 7.5
CVSS Temporal Score: See: https://exchange.xforce.ibmcloud.com/vulnerabilities/219760 for the current score.

CVEID: CVE-2022-32149
DESCRIPTION: Golang Go is vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by improper input validation by the golang.org/x/text/language package. By sending a specially-crafted Accept-Language header, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause ParseAcceptLanguage to take significant time to parse, and results in a denial of service condition.
CVSS Base score: 7.5
CVSS Temporal Score: See: https://exchange.xforce.ibmcloud.com/vulnerabilities/238605 for the current score.
CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.0/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H)
CVEID: CVE-2022-43548
DESCRIPTION: Node.js could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the system, caused by an insufficient IsAllowedHost check. By sending a specially-crafted DBS request using an invalid octal address, an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to conduct a DNS rebinding attack and execute arbitrary commands on the system.
CVSS Base score: 8.1
CVSS Temporal Score: See: https://exchange.xforce.ibmcloud.com/vulnerabilities/241552 for the current score.

CVEID: CVE-2020-7676
DESCRIPTION: angular.js is vulnerable to cross-site scripting, caused by improper validation of user-supplied input. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to inject malicious script into a Web page which would be executed in a victim's Web browser within the security context of the hosting Web site, once the page is viewed. An attacker could use this vulnerability to steal the victim's cookie-based authentication credentials.
CVSS Base score: 4.4
CVSS Temporal Score: See: https://exchange.xforce.ibmcloud.com/vulnerabilities/183379 for the current score.
CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.0/AV:N/AC:H/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N)
CVEID: CVE-2021-42550
DESCRIPTION: Logback could allow a remote authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system. By using a specially-crafted configuration, an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code loaded from LDAP servers.
CVSS Base score: 6.6
CVSS Temporal Score: See: https://exchange.xforce.ibmcloud.com/vulnerabilities/215533 for the current score.

Disclaimer
According to the Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams (FIRST), the Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) is an "industry open standard designed to convey vulnerability severity and help to determine urgency and priority of response." IBM PROVIDES THE CVSS SCORES ""AS IS"" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. CUSTOMERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ASSESSING THE IMPACT OF ANY ACTUAL OR POTENTIAL SECURITY VULNERABILITY. In addition to other efforts to address potential vulnerabilities, IBM periodically updates the record of components contained in our product offerings. As part of that effort, if IBM identifies previously unidentified packages in a product/service inventory, we address relevant vulnerabilities regardless of CVE date. Inclusion of an older CVEID does not demonstrate that the referenced product has been used by IBM since that date, nor that IBM was aware of a vulnerability as of that date. We are making clients aware of relevant vulnerabilities as we become aware of them. "Affected Products and Versions" referenced in IBM Security Bulletins are intended to be only products and versions that are supported by IBM and have not passed their end-of-support or warranty date. Thus, failure to reference unsupported or extended-support products and versions in this Security Bulletin does not constitute a determination by IBM that they are unaffected by the vulnerability. Reference to one or more unsupported versions in this Security Bulletin shall not create an obligation for IBM to provide fixes for any unsupported or extended-support products or versions.
