Problem
When searching for objects in the Cognos Analytics search bar, no search results show and it continues to load indefinitely.
Resolving The Problem
Usually in Cognos Configuration the physical location of the files that support the Search functionality can be located either in the default install location or in another location specified in the Cognos Configuration.
The path for these files can usually be found in Local Configuration -> Environment - > Data files location, the Default location is ../data
Check to see if this location path has been modified in and try a different data file location. Then test to see if search results start showing.
