IBM Support

Sales Order Pipeline is not preserving the order status in IBM Sterling Order Management

Troubleshooting

Problem

Consider a scenario where we have 3 statuses in Sales Order - Shipped, Order Delivered(extended status of Shipped) and Customer Picked(extended status of Shipped). Now, say if we create a return and cancel, we have the following requirement: 1. If the Order status is Shipped, create draft return and cancel should take back the order status from Return Created to Shipped 2. If the Order status is Order Delivered, create draft return and cancel should take back the order status from Return Created to Order Delivered 3. Likewise, if the Order status is Customer Picked, create draft return and cancel should take back the order status from Return Created to Customer Picked

Resolving The Problem

We can have different return statuses for the corresponding sales order statuses(Shipped, Order Delivered, Customer Picked). By doing this, we can configure different Listening to and Drop statuses in the Remove from Return listener.
