RMM message EDGI100I is issued

Question & Answer

Question

EDGI100I SUBSYSTEM UXTB NOT DEFINED OR NO TABLE LOADED

Answer

The following text for message EDGI100I was added to RMM part EDGCMM01 (i.e., "Data Extraction Programs User's Guide for conversion to DFSMSrmm") by APAR OW36664:

EDGI100I SUBSYSTEM UXTB NOT DEFINED OR NO TABLE LOADED

EXPLANATION: The error occurred in FIND_TAB routine while the system was trying to find the dynamic table. Possible causes:

1. No dynamic table is loaded
2. Subsystem name used in EDGCVRSX differs from subsystem name used while loading the dynamic table (Parm SSN in EDGCVRSP)

SYSTEM ACTION: Processing continues with limited functions.

PROGRAMMER RESPONSE: Ensure that the subsystem names used in EDGUX100 and the EDGCVRSP procedure are the same, and reload the table that uses EDGCVRSP.

Message EDGI100I is issued by EDGCVRSX (renamed EDGUX100) in the FIND_TAB routine when the system is unable to find the dynamic table. It can occur either because no dynamic table is loaded, or because the subsystem name used in EDGCVRSX differs from the subsystem name used while loading the dynamic table (parm SSN in EDGCVRSP).

After you have ensured that the subsystem name in EDGCVRSP is the same as EDGCVRSX, you need to reload the UXTABLE. After EDGCVRSX is compiled and linked the normal method for loading the UXTABLE is to issue:,

- P DFRMM
- Copy module EDGUX100 to LINKLIB
- F LLA,REFRESH
- SETPROG EXIT,DELETE,EXITNAME=EDG_EXIT100,MODNAME=EDGUX100
- SETPROG EXIT,ADD,EXITNAME=EDG_EXIT100,MODNAME=EDGUX100
- S EDGCVRSP    The start edgcvrsp causes the UXTABLE to be picked up.
- S DFRMM,M=xx
