The replacement part number (FRU) on the hard disk drive label may not be correct and, if a replacement is ordered, you may receive a hard disk drive without the tray.

 The replacement part number (FRU) on the hard disk drive label may not be correct and, if a replacement is ordered, you may receive a hard disk drive without the tray.

Affected configurations

The system is any of the following IBM eserver xSeries:

  • xSeries 340
  • xSeries 240
  • xSeries 230

The system is any of the following IBM Netfinity servers:

  • Netfinity 8500R server, type 8681, any model
  • Netfinity 7600 server, type 8665, any model
  • Netfinity 7100 server, type 8666, any model
  • Netfinity 6000R server, type 8682, any model
  • Netfinity 5600 server, type 8664, any model
  • Netfinity 5100 server, type 8658, any model
  • Netfinity 4500R server, type 8656, any model
  • Netfinity EXP 200, type 3530, any model
