Overview
IBM® Control Desk Ptype 1.0.1.2 for IBM Cloud Pak® System (2.3.0.1 and later) is released and available on IBM® Fix Central.
This Ptype installs IBM® Control Desk 7.6.1 and IBM® Control Desk 7.6.1.2 and then configures directly.

This compressed file set contains the following items:
  • ICD_1012_Doc_EN.doc: It is a documentation file, which gives details about Ptype installation, configuration, deployment checklist, known issues, and so on.
  • patterntype.com.ibm.controldesk-1.0.1.2.tgz: Actual IBM® Control Desk 1.0.1.2 Ptype.

Features
  • This Ptype installs IBM® Control Desk 7.6.1 and IBM® Control Desk 7.6.1.2 and configures directly.
    This configuration improves the overall deployment turnaround time. Deployment with earlier Ptype versions requires users to install the base version of ICD and then apply the fix pack.
    Instead, now a user can directly install and configure ICD 7612 in a single step.
  • This Ptype configures JMS. See https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/maximo-76-configuring-maximo-jms-resources-use-integration-framework.
    This configuration is now integrated into the Ptype deployment.
  • This Ptype supports Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7.x.
