IBM is offering an early customer program for IBM Storage Insights, which brings #cognitive, #AI capabilities to the support experience.

The new dashboard in IBM Storage Insights highlights the new features and enhancements. The IBM Storage Insights Foundation dashboard provides a window into the health, capacity, and performance of all your IBM block storage systems (initial rollout) in a single location. With this dashboard, you no longer need to open different management GUIs to view key information about each of your storage systems. To access it, simply click Home > Dashboard.
The IBM Storage Insights support dashboard is displayed in two distinct sections:

Event
IBM Storage Insights constantly monitors your storage systems, so that when events occur, they are displayed immediately in the event feed on the left side of the dashboard. You can use the event feed to quickly view and sort the latest critical and warning conditions and Call Home events that were detected on your storage.
Just click an event and and a detail tile is instantly displayed that enables you to view more granular data. For example, your system needs a firmware update. The detail tile recommends the firmware version upgrade as well as provides links to see the event on your system and further understanding.

Inventory
The storage systems that are registered as part of your storage inventory are displayed in tiles or in rows on the right side of the dashboard. When Call Home is enabled, IBM Storage Insights can track hardware failures and potential configuration and environmental issues. Key metrics are available for capacity and performance to give you quick insights. Each tile is clickable, so if you want more details just click.
