This readme file for Edge Components applies to the Load Balancer and Caching Proxy components of IBM WebSphere Application Server Version 7.0.

Caching Proxy is not available on:

• Edge Components for IPv6 installations
• Edge Components installations for operating systems that run on Itanium 2 or AMD Opteron 64-bit processors

The relevant terms and conditions, notices, and other information are provided in the country-specific license agreement files within the lb/license/lafiles directory of the installation image for this product.

Any non-English version of the license information in the directory is unofficial and is provided to you for your convenience only. The English version of the license files is the official version. Other licensing information and third-party notices exist in the notices, the copyright.txt file, and the non_IBM_license file within the root directory of the installation image.

Accessing documentation on the installation image
The following documentation is available when you install the product:

• The readme file: This readme.html file, which supersedes the version in the readme directory of the installation image, provides information that includes links to the procedure for installing and using the product.
• Help files: The help files provide detailed instructions for completing tasks and specifying settings in the graphical systems management tools. Access the help files by using the help menus, links, or buttons that are provided in the tool interfaces.
• Product documentation: The English version of the product documentation is provided in the docs subdirectory of the product directory.

Accessing the most current Web documentation
For the Information Center for Edge Components in any one of the supported languages,
change to the appropriate system locale and see the product documentation for Edge components.
