Abstract
This document provides an overview of new features and enhancements in IBM Rational Software Architect Designer version 9.6.x releases.

Design Room ONE
With Design Room ONE, you can export your Rational Software Architect Designer (RSAD) models to a server. By doing so it becomes possible to view the models in a web browser without having RSAD installed. You can also create links to elements of an exported RSAD model from artifacts of Jazz CLM tools and other OSLC-compliant tools. For example, you can create a link from a requirement in DOORS NG to a use case in your model, to express the fact that the use case specifies the requirement.
With Rational Publishing Engine, you can create reports that contain data from Design Room ONE. If the elements have links to OSLC artifacts, these can also be included into the report. For more information, see http://www.devops-community.com/designroomone.html.
Downloads: Design Room ONE follows the continuous delivery model with a release at the end of every three-week sprint. You can download package for a specific sprint from the "Downloads" section in the DR ONE DevOps Community site.

- Oracle 12, as a database that can be targeted with the development tools

IBM Runtime Environment Java Technology Edition updates
IBM Runtime Environment Java Technology Edition is updated to the following versions:
- IBM 32/64 bit Runtime Environment for Windows, Java Technology Edition, Version 8.0 Service Release 4 FP1
- IBM 64-bit Runtime Environment for Linux, Java Technology Edition, Version 8.0 Service Release 4 FP1
Rational Software Architect Design Manager (RSADM)
In Version 9.6.x, you must use Rational Software Architect Design Manager version 6.0.2 ifix003a. You can download the version from RSADM version 6.0.2.

Performance and stability of Platform user interface
The following features are new in version 9.6:
Swagger feature
Users can create a Swagger REST Service model and model the different Swagger components in Rational Software Architect Designer 9.6. Using the REST Service Model to Swagger transformation, Swagger files can be generated from the model. Also, the Swagger REST Service model can be generated from a Swagger file using Swagger to REST Service Model transformation.
XSD to UML transformation
User now has an option to generate UML Enumerations instead of Classes, which are stereotyped as Enumeration, when running the XSD-to-UML transformation.
Stereotype validity constraints
A model validation error is now thrown for models having dangling and duplicate stereotype references. The error can be fixed using the Quick fix option.
Web Publish – Publish referenced elements
Elements from the referenced packages are also published and displayed beside the package in the web published model.
UML Multiplicity display option
Multiplicity value 0..* is now shown in the properties view and the diagram and the display is driven by a preference setting.
