Troubleshooting
Problem
IBM Rational DOORS formal module shows previous version of the baseline number as current .
Symptom
When the formal module is opened in exclusive edit mode, you will notice the wrong or the previous baseline number on module's top bar showing:
"'<module name>' current <baseline version> in /<folder/project>" instead of the current <baseline version> number.
Cause
The possible reasons on the incorrect current baseline version number are:
- You experienced network disconnection between DOORS Client and Server while creating a baseline.
- You received an error during baseline creation and baseline creation was not successful.
Discrepancies in the current baseline number may be due to the possible data corruption issues while creating a baseline.
Resolving The Problem
Apply one of the following solutions to resolve the issue:
- Restore the single troubled module from the last known good backup.
OR
- Modify or edit certain module database files to fix the issue.
Note: Rational Support will need certain files to diagnose the issue for possible fix. Contact Rational Support for further instruction to diagnose the problem.
