Question & Answer

Question

In the Queue drop down of the Alert Search screen, how to display only those queues which the user is subscribed to.

Answer

Environment: Sterling Call Center Application v8.0

In the Call Center Application, the Queue drop down box in the Alert Search screen populates all the queues created. To be able to filter this and display only those queues subscribed by the user who is logged in, the following needs to be performed:

The precommand method of the extension behavior class needs to be modified such that the input xml to getQueueList API contains the details of the logged-in user. A point that needs to be noted here is that the getQueueList API is called in as a part of a multiApi invocation when the alert search screen is loaded.

For more information on the preCommand method, please refer to the RCP javadocs for the YRCExtensionBehavior class.
