Query execution time limit per package

Troubleshooting

Problem

Can users be prevented from running queries that take more than a certain amount of time to execute?
Can this be implemented on a per package basis?

Symptom

RQP-DEF-0112 Query execution time exceeds the 360 second limit

Resolving The Problem

Package level query execution time limits can be configured in a Framework Manager model.
Steps:
1. Open the project in Framework Manager.
2. Go to Project > Edit Governors from the menu.
3. Specify the value desired for the Query execution time limit property.
An error message displays when the preset number of seconds is reached.  A setting of zero (0) means no limit is set.
This governor will limit the amount from open cursor to fetch the first rows. If the time is takes to fetch the first row is less than the governor limit in seconds the query will continue to fetch results without an error being generated.
To restrict users from fetching too much data, the 'Maximum number of retrieved rows' governor can be used.

This setting applies to the all packages within the model. To set different Query execution time limit for each package you may save a different version of the project for each package and modify the property as required.
