Does the Japan era change impact QRadar?
Cause
The Japanese era calendar scheme is changing from Heisei to the new era on May 1st, 2019.
Answer
The era calendar scheme is used by QRadar. As such, the appliances are impacted by the change.
There are 3 types of Locale in Japan. "日本語"、"日本語(日本)"、"日本語(日本、JP)". Only "日本語(日本、JP)" is impacted.
To Resolve this issue.
For QRadar 7.3.1 and later
There are 3 types of Locale in Japan. "日本語"、"日本語(日本)"、"日本語(日本、JP)". Only "日本語(日本、JP)" is impacted.
To Resolve this issue.
For QRadar 7.3.1 and later
- Click User Name from the top menu bar.
- Click User Preferences to access your user information.
- Select Locale: Japanese (Japan, JP)".
- Click Save.
For QRadar 7.3.0
- Click the User name from the top menu bar.
- Click User Preferences.
- Click Locale: Japanese (Japan, JP).
- Click Save.
Results: You now are using the New Era Japanese calendar scheme.
