Purging records from Hang-Off table > Cascading Purge

Question & Answer

Question

Purging records from Hang-Off table > Cascading Purge

Answer

If there is a Purge agent for the Parent of the Hang-Off table, it moves records to history tables. With the hang-off entities enabled, the Purge agent also deletes records from corresponding hang-off tables. However, the data from a hang-off table can be purged only if its parent elements are also purged. If
a history table for the Hang-Off table exists, records are added to the history table. Further the records can be deleted from the history table using the History Purge agent, if there is any.

In order to purge the custom and hang-off entities, we need to include the yfsdbextn.jar file in the classpath of the agent server for SSCA 7X versions.

This also holds true for cascaded hang-off tables. For example if we have a hang-off table of a hang-off table then also the cascading purging/deletion will happen.

Refer the Customization Guide for details on Custom/Hang-Off tables and their behavior.
