Symptom

When you use the HostRAID Support CD, version 1.10.08, to create logical drives on SATA hard drives on an IntelliStation A Pro (Type 6224), you may experience long logical drive initialization times or even an initialization failure.

Affected configurations

The system may be any of the following IBM IntelliStations: 

  • IntelliStation A Pro, type 6224, any model 
Solution

A fix is being investigated and will be available in Third Quarter 2005 via the HostRAID Support CD download page.

Workaround

When configuring an IntelliStation A Pro (Type 6224) for HostRAID, use the CTRL-A BIOS utility to create logical drives when using SATA hard drives.
