Troubleshooting
Problem
IBM Rational ClearQuest Eclipse Client crashes on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7.3 to 7.7 or RHEL 8.0 during start-up.
Cause
Required libraries are not installed on RHEL 7.3 to 7.7 or RHEL 8.0.
Resolving The Problem
The following libraries are the requisites for any RHEL version to get ready for the ClearQuest installation:
#yum -y install gtk2.i686
#yum -y install libXtst.i686
#yum -y install ncurses-libs.i686
#yum -y install libacl.i686
The below library is needed for RHEL 8.0 because libnsl has not have been installed through the RHEL 8.0 default installation:
#yum -y install libnsl.i686
If you are trying to install CQ 9.0.2.*, the below libraries are needed for RHEL 7 and RHEL 8:
#yum -y install pam.i686
#yum -y install libaio.i686

#yum -y install gtk2.i686
