In order to use the PowerHA Tools offerings, product and access codes are required. Information will be provided on process to request and implement access codes in the various environments.
Access Code Requests: All access codes for the PowerHA Tools offerings must be done directly through the IBM i Expert Labs email iessspt@us.ibm.com.
- Consideration for new installs and migrations where access codes are needed, should be planned ahead of time
- Access codes will be generated Monday through Friday between the hours of 8am to 5pm (Central U.S. time zone)
- Access codes are tied to serial number and function, not toolkit release
- On-prem codes do not expire unless they were issued as temporary codes
- PowerVS subscription codes expire after the subscription period, no warnings are given before they expire
Implementing Access Codes: To add an access code, the ADDPRDACS command is to be used for the desired offering library.
Example for Full System and IASP related toolkits: QZRDHASM/ADDPRDACS ACSCDE(732CE2CE2D) SRLNBR(1012345)
*Note - The default value for SRLNBR is *CURRENT. Providing a specific serial number allows the ability to enter codes for other systems. This is useful in Full System environments.
Example for Smart Assist: QZRDPWRHA/ADDPRDACS ACSCDE('63326C-51333D-DC0D0F') SRLNBR(1012345)
*Note - The default value for SRLNBR is *CURRENT.
To view the existing access code or codes on a system, the DSPPRDACS command can be used for the respective product code.
Example for Full System Replication and Flashcopy: QZRDHASM/DSPPRDACS PRODUCT(87) SRLNBR(1012345)
Example for Smart Assist: QZRDHASM/DSPPRDACS PRODUCT(64) SRLNBR(1012345)
*Note - The DSPPRDACS command only resides in QZRDHASM library. There is currently no display command in the QZRDPWRHA library.
