  • Approximately 400 slides in total
  • Size ~150MB in total
  • You can use the slides in any way you like to promote POWER9 Enterprise Servers
  • Feel free to put your name on the first slide, delete, summarise, pass-on, study further or use the detailed pictures yourself.
  • Note these slides are not IBM official charts nor IBM statements as they are Nigel Griffiths' person decks and the opinions are his alone.
  • Correction: The Enterprise E980 Warranty depends on your country:
    • Some countries have 1 Year + Same Day 24x7  support.
    • Other countries have 1 Year plus 2 years of extended Support + Business Day 24x7 support.
  • Correction: The Enterprise E980 performance jump
    • When calculated with the final rPerf numbers in the official Performance Report the
POWER8 E880C to POWER9 E980 top rPerf is a 38% jump (was reported in these slides as 30%).
    • The E880C rPerf went down due to the Spectre and Meltdown recalculation as everyone must have the fixes installed by now.
The POWER9 rPerf's all assume the fixes are installed and active.
    • Unchanged: E950 got 42%.
