Max Active is a term from WRKSYSSTS screen referring to the activity level of a particular pool.

This information can be tracked over time by looking at field POACTL (Pool Activity Level Setting) in QAPMPOOLB or QAPMPOOLL files from Collection Services

Perspectives in the Collection Services package under the Memory folder utilize this field.

Start in IBM Navigator for i with Performance-> Investigate Data, then open Collection Services package.

Memory Pool Activity Level perspective has these three views:

  1. Memory Pool Activity Levels and Ineligible Transitions Per Second (001-004)
  2. Memory Pool Activity Levels (All Pools)
  3. Ineligible Transitions Per Second (All Pools)

The first and second views show Memory Pool Activity Levels.  The first shows pools 1-4 and the second has all pools.
