PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
Ampersand character is not escaped by
XCI
serializer under certain scenarios.
RECOMMENDATION:
None
Ampersand character is not escaped by the XCI serializer under
certain scenarios. This causes some applications to fail with
the following exception:
com.ibm.xml.xci.errors.XCIDynamicErrorException: The entity
name must immediately follow the '&' in the entity
reference.
This occurs mostly when the content of an entire XML tree is
stored within an XML element.
PROBLEM CONCLUSION:
The algorithm that handles ampersand characters within the XCI
serializer was corrected.
The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 8.5.5.12 and 9.0.0.4. Please refer to the
