Processor
  • Quad-Core Intel Xeon(tm) MP up to 2.93 GHz with 2 x 4 MB L2 cache
  • Two quad-core Xeon MP processors
  • Two additional sockets for SMP Xeon MP processor upgrades
Memory
  • Up to 256 GB of high-speed, lower-power, PC2-5300 ECC double data rate 2 (DDR2) SDRAM system per chassis memory with the ability to scale to 1 TB.
  • Active Memory(tm) with hot-swap support: Memory ProteXion(tm), Chipkill memory mirroring, and hot-swap and hot-add memory, for high performance with 256 MB XceL4v cache per chassis
  • Up to 32 DIMM slots per chassis delivering up to 256 GB of high-speed PC2-5300 double data rate (DDR2) memory per chassis; expandable to 1 TB in a 16-socket (64-core) complex
Hard drive (HD)
  • Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) controller
  • SAS 2.5-inch hot-swap hard drives for the latest in high-performance disk technology; 584 GB total capacity (using four 146 GB SAS Hot-Swap hard drives) with 146 GB hard drive and standard RAID card
  • RAID 0 and 1 standard. The optional ServeRAID-MR10k SAS/SATA Controller provides additional RAID levels
CD and DVD drives
  • Standard CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive

  • Seven 2.5 Gb PCIE x8 I/O slots (two are hot-plug) per chassis with ability to scale to 28 slots in 4 chassis configuration
