Problem
Attempts to open a module in IBM Rational DOORS results in the error "-R-W- DXL:
Symptom
Opening a Rational DOORS module while the module is configured for Change integration results in the error:
No access to read attribute '<attributename>'
Cause
You have a Formal Module configured for a DOORS-Change interface. The reason this error occurs is because you do not have appropriate access permission to the attribute listed in the error message.
Environment
Resolving The Problem
The following options will help to resolve the issue:
- Confirm you have appropriate access permission to an attribute mentioned in the error message
- Check if module has deleted section/objects
Note: Your permission may have carried over to deleted object(s) even after resetting the access permission to an attribute
- Click View > Show > Deletions to view the deleted objects
- Reset attribute permissions to deleted objects
- Open a module
