NullPointerException error received when installing WebSphere Application Server Liberty profile

Troubleshooting


Problem

If you are installing WebSphere Application Server Liberty profile with the -imcl command, you might encounter problems. If you are connecting to the Liberty repository and specifying any user.property with the -properties and -useServiceRepository parameters, you might receive an error message similar to the following example message: ERROR: java.lang.NullPointerException

Environment

This problem occurs with IBM Installation Manager Version 1.7.1, 1.7.2, and 1.7.3.
