Not Able ToLaunch Configurator > System repeatedly downloads and reinstalls J2RE 1.3.1_12 java plugin yantra 40 sp3 50 sp2 jre jdk sdk

Resolving The Problem

dcm40sp3, needs 1.3.1 base java plugin
similarly Yantra 5.x and 7.x needs 1.3.1_09 java plugin

If you have ONLY a more recent version like 1.3.1_12,
the config applet tries to download its 'needed plugin' but sun java will automatically suggest the latest 1.3.1_12,
which successfully downloads and then has a problem again, because it isnt the version the applet expects.

To get this running successfully, you will need to install 1.3.1 base available on
http://java.sun.com/products/archive/j2se/1.3.1/index.html
or
http:/ /java.sun.com/products/archive/j2se/1.3.1_09/index.html

also accessible to Yantra Support in:
\\maui\support\Methodology\Infrastructure_Tools\Java\javaplugin

j2 re-1_3_1-win.exe and its associated jinstall-131-win32.rar file
or
j2re-1_3_1_09-windows-i586.exe and its zipped version j2re-1_3_1_09-windows-i586.zip

Install this and then open a new browser and launch 40sp3 or 5.0 sp2 and then launch config and you should be all fine.

Yantra Install Guide does advise the users to install the 1.3.1 base version / 1.3.1_09 from the link

but doesn't advise what to do if a more current version is already installed on the client.
