Unable to FetchData Prolog Procedure error (98) unable to register subset when attempting drillthrough to source data

Troubleshooting

Problem

User is unable to perform a turbointegrator process (any TI, including drill-through).  The below error is recorded on the tm1server.log

Symptom

18584  [55]  ERROR  2019-07-23 13:32:29.830  TM1.Server  sf_DeleteFile: Error on file "s:\prod\tm1\data\xxxx}subs\zzzDrill.sub$". Error = error code:32 reason:"The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process."  file:"s:\prod\tm1\data\xxxx}subs\zzzDrill.sub$"

Cause

A temporary file (created during regular processes) was not deleted at the time of the initial process and is possibly locked by tm1sd.exe.

Resolving The Problem

In order to release the lock on the file:
- the Planning Analytics instance must be stopped
- delete of rename the file
- start the instance
Note.  Depending on the size, nature and the content of this file, you may have to rename the original to a backup and rename the new one by removing the $.  If the file is 0kb, deleting is safe.  If the file has a size different from the original file (no $ in the name), you may simply rename it, start the instance and ensure that the expected data is present.  If some is missing, stop, rename the .cub$ (or .sub$) to take place of the original and restart the instance.  Again, ensure that the expected data is present.
