Email options in jobs become corrupted

Troubleshooting


Problem

You may experience issues with the email options in jobs in the following two scenarios:
Scenario 1
You performed all of these steps:
1)You created jobs with email options in a Cognos Analytics release earlier than 11.1.1.
2)You upgraded to Cognos Analytics 11.1.1, 11.1.2, or 11.1.3.
3)You modified the email options for the jobs you created in step 1.
Scenario 2
You performed all of these steps:
1)You created jobs with email options in Cognos Analytics 11.1.1, 11.1.2, or 11.1.3.
2)You upgraded to Cognos Analytics 11.1.2.0 IF1006 or later.
3)You modified the email options for the jobs you created in step 1.

Resolving The Problem

To resolve this issue, follow the procedure below for the scenario that applies to you.
Procedure for Scenario 1
For each of your existing jobs, follow these steps:
  1. In My content or Team content, click the job name.
  2. In the job_name window, click Classic View.
  3. In the Defaults for all steps section, click Set.
  4. Click Report options.
  5. Select the check box for Specify default values for all the reports of this job.
  6. In the Delivery section, click Edit the email options.
  7. Set the options you want and then click OK.
Procedure for Scenario 2
Re-create the jobs in your upgraded version of Cognos Analytics. For more information, see Using jobs to schedule multiple entries.
