This technote explains why the error, "java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: Array index out of range", occurs when using IBM® Rational® ClearQuest® TestManager (CQTM) for test execution.
When executing a configured test case (CTC), this error occurs:
java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: Array index out of range: 1
The error happens at the beginning of the execution, and may only occur with older CTC records.
There are corrupt references in the CTC record.
This can happen when executing Robot scripts from the ClearQuest RCP client, or executing scripts via the ClearQuest perspective of Manual Tester and Functional Tester.
Copy the CTC under the same or another test case. Essentially, the CTC may need to be recreated in order to repair the corrupt references.
The following actions may also resolve the error:
- Remove the script from the test case and from the configured test case.
- Associate the script again to the test case and configured test case.
