IBM Planning Analytics Workspace and IBM Planning Analytics for Microsoft Excel

IBM maintains the source code and product documentation for Planning Analytics Workspace and Planning Analytics for Microsoft Excel by using a continuous delivery methodology, with one code base that serves both cloud and local Planning Analytics deployments. IBM produces a new version of Planning Analytics Workspace and Planning Analytics for Microsoft Excel (called a "refresh") on a periodic cadence (presently every few weeks) that contains corrective code and functional, user experience, and performance enhancements.

Following a rigorous quality assurance cycle, the refresh is first deployed to cloud customers, and at IBM’s discretion, posted to Fix Central for local deployments. For Planning Analytics Local, the continuous delivery cycle replaces the Interim Fix and Fix Pack process for Planning Analytics Workspace and Planning Analytics for Microsoft Excel. Corrective code for Planning Analytics Workspace and Planning Analytics for Microsoft Excel is delivered through the continuously delivered refreshes. All Planning Analytics Workspace and Planning Analytics for Microsoft Excel refreshes are cumulative, so if you skip a few refreshes, you will receive all "to date" corrective code and enhancements when you apply the latest refresh.
