Why we observed unknown FEDERATED_DREP_ADHOC and FEDERATED_DREP_SCHED processes under the Guardium Job Queue Report ?
Answer
The reports under Guardium job queue are having process type defined as "FEDERATED_DREP_SCHED" for scheduled distributed report and "FEDERATED_DREP_ADHOC" for immediate distributed report.
Distributed Report framework relies on the classification process listener to process data files arrived from MUs on the target machine. These two job types are used :
STATUS - PROCESS TYPE
==========================
RUNNING - FEDERATED_DREP_ADHOC
==========================
RUNNING - FEDERATED_DREP_ADHOC
WAITING - FEDERATED_DREP_SCHED
Both jobs are listeners that should always be in running or waiting state to support distributed reports functionality.
