Abstract

Windows Phone PIM: Collecting Verbose Logs from PIM (MaaS360 Email app)

Prerequite

1. Company Hub and PIM app should be installed and be in working state .

Follow the steps to collect the logs

1. Tap on Company Hub Icon from the home page of device -> You will be navigated

to the MaaS360 agent home screen page.

2. Login to the email app and wait for the app to be synchronized.

3.  Tap the '...' icon present at bottom right corner in the MaaS360 Email app , it will provide 2 options, tap 'Settings'

4. Tap the '...'  icon present at bottom right corner in the MaaS360 Email app -> It will provide 2 options to collect the logs

5. Tap the "verbose logs" option -> It will open the compressed log file in Word document file.

6. Tap the '...'  icon present at bottom right corner in the MaaS360 Email app - > It will provide the options to save or share.

7. Select save to phone and provide an appropriate file name, save the file in .txt form.

8. Connect the device to laptop using a data cable.
9. Navigate to Computer\Windows Phone\Phone\Documents
10. Save the .txt file on the laptop/system and open the file with an editor.
11. Save the file as .zip format (Since the file is in compressed form by default. You need to first save it as a Zip and then exact it to view.) (Customersmight need to send the .zip file incase asked for)
12. Extract the folder and open the logs folder, uou will get a .log files in the folder which are your verbose log files for MaaS360 Email app
