Troubleshooting
Problem
When Cognos Analytics is configured to use Apache 2.4 as the web server, the Administration Console and Legacy Studios (such as Query Studio and Event Studio) do not render properly. There will be missing images, styling and the buttons will not work.
Cause
Misconfigured MIME Types in the Apache configuration. In this case, the directive ForceType text/plain in the httpd.conf file was forcing all content to return as text/plain, causing javascript and css not to render. ForceType was being used because the DefaultType directive was removed between Apache 2.2 and 2.4.
Resolving The Problem
Remove or comment out the following from the Apache httpd.conf file:
