Empty cells cause incorrect top borders on heading rows in TM1 Web 2.0.7 and later

Troubleshooting

Problem

You will notice that the same report appears differently in TM1 Web version 2.0.6 and earlier (including TM1 Web 10.2.2)  and TM1 Web version 2.0.7 and later.

In TM1 Web 2.0.7 or later, observe that there is no top border on the heading cells below cells with empty values. Open the same report in TM1 Web 10.2.2, and you will see the correct/expected format.

The following image shows the incorrect border formatting of cells in TM1 Web 2.0.7.

Cause

This issue is  caused by the current cell border handling logic and optimization on empty cells.  The rendering of the top cell  border on a heading row depends on the visible cells in the row above the heading row. Empty cells in the row above the heading row cannot contribute to the border handling because they are empty.

Environment

TM1 Web 2.0.7

Resolving The Problem

You can apply either of the following changes in the websheet to avoid this problem:
  •  Merge the cells that contain empty cells in the first visible row above the heading cells.
  •  Or, add a bottom border (thin) for those same range of cells that contain empty cells.

Publish the workbooks and load them in TM1Web to see the results. Choose the option that you prefer.
