Troubleshooting
Problem
This article describes how to hide the Cancel button on the Your Report is Running dialog. This has been tested on Cognos Analytics version 11.0.13. The technique only works for reports running in the Classic Viewer i.e. those which have the report property "Run with full interactivity" set to "no". As of the time of this writing, there is no equivalent feature for the Interactive Viewer.
Resolving The Problem
- Launch IBM Cognos Administration
- Click the Configuration tab
- Click Dispatchers and Services
- Click on 'Set properties - Configuration' in the toolbar
- Click the Settings tab
- Click 'Edit...' for Advanced settings
- add setting "VIEWER_JS_HIDE_CANCEL_BUTTON" and set the value to "true". (don't include the double quotes in either)
- Click OK to save the changes
This does not require a restart of the Cognos Analytics service, but you may need to clear your browser cache and log back in.
