Question & Answer
Question
Is it possible to use different encryption algorithm for storing user password in IBM Order Management System ?
Answer
As mentioned in below mentioned KC link, "The application exposes the com.yantra.ycp.japi.util.YCPEncrypter interface to handle encryption logic. All application encryption and decryption is handled by an encrypter class that implements this interface."
KC URL - https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SS6PEW_9.5.0/com.ibm.help.security.dimeanddare.doc/customization/Tran_Encrypt_Logic.html
The YCPEncrypter interface can be implemented for all encryption requirements except for user password. User password encryption algorithm cannot be changed.
