Problem
New EP Engine will not start the Engine log shows and error
Symptom
StateException: SLC_SERVICE_GET_EVENTS_DIRECT nor BYPASS_EVENT_MONITOR_FOR_EVENTS may be TRUE when multiple EPs are installed. Non CEPs cannot be started until these engine.properties values are FALSE.
Cause
Eninge properties on the existing CEP have BYPASS_EVENT_MONITOR_FOR_EVENTS as TRUE
Diagnosing The Problem
Look at the engine log for the error
Resolving The Problem
In the CEP that is started on the Web Console and Alter the value for BYPASS_EVENT_MONITOR_FOR_EVENTS to be FALSE and then recycle the engine.
