Abstract

MaaS360 adds policy support for device-wide restriction to block the app installations through sources other than Google Play. If this policy is applied at the device level, app installations from unknown sources are blocked in both personal profile and work profiles.

Content

Note:

  • This policy is only applicable to Android 9.0 and later devices enrolled in PO mode. 
  • The system settings remain active on the device, but the system blocks app installation.
  • This policy only affects future installations so the apps that are already installed through unknown sources remain on the device.
  • The device users can continue to install apps into the personal profile using the Android Debug Bridge (ADB).
