Abstract

MaaS360 announces a partnership with M3 to manage rugged SM10 devices in the MaaS360 platform. This release marks the first phase of a series of enhancements to be made to the MaaS360 platform to integrate with M3 SM10 devices. MaaS360 adds support for silent installation/upgrade of apps and new policies to enforce device restrictions on M3 devices. Requires Android 6.20+ agent. Note: MaaS360 only supports SM10 devices in this release.

Administrators can easily enroll M3 SM10 devices into MaaS360 through existing enrollment workflows, but the MaaS360 core app version 6.20+ and MaaS360 for M3 helper app must be copied and installed on the device manually.

Allows the users and third-party applications to use the microphone.

Allows Bluetooth tethering on the device.

Allows sharing of carrier data connection with other devices through a USB connection.

Near Field Communication (NFC)

The device uses Near Field Communication (NFC) for short-range communications.

Allow USB Debugging

The device provides options for USB debugging, where users can use the Android SDK to connect a device to a computer.

MaaS360 adds support for instant install and upgrade of applications in MaaS360 App Catalog.
