Cognos is unable to read user groups from Azure AD

Troubleshooting


Problem

When a user logs into Cognos Analytics Azure AD groups the user belongs to are not listed in My Preferences

Resolving The Problem

In Cognos Configuration, in the Azure Namespace advanced properties, add the following:

name: resource

value: https://graph.microsoft.com

In Azure AD add the following permission.

Delegated Access: Access the directory as the signed-in user
