Problem
When trying to add a web page URL to a Cognos Workspace, the following error is received: The URL in "HTML content:" is pointing to a domain that has not been approved by your administrator.
This is seen even after following the steps in the documentation on Adding Cognos Workspace domains to the valid domain list.
Resolving The Problem
The domain must also be added to the IBM Cognos Application Firewall settings in Cognos Configuration.
Steps:
- Open Cognos Configuration.
- Go to Environment -> Security -> IBM Cognos Application Firewall.
- Under Valid domain hosts, click the pencil icon in the corner.
- Add your domain to the list and save.
- Restart Cognos Services.
