Problem
Saving a rule is taking a long time
User reviews the tm1server.log and finds the information described in 'Symptom' section of this document.
Symptom
ProcessFeeders: Exception computing feeders for base cube 'CUBE NAME': IX locking is prohibited in nested transactions. Remaining work will be performed in serialized mode by the transaction thread.
Cause
The tm1s.cfg includes MTFeeders=T and they are using conditional feeders.
Resolving The Problem
The information message is expected.
The tm1s.cfg includes MTFeeders=T and they are using conditional feeders.
Conditional feeders are not supported for multi-threading (MTFeeders) and will run in a single thread. The message indicates that we could not process feeders in parallel so we had to do it in serial. We do this to remove the risk of some cells not being fed (when they should be).
