Resolving The Problem
If the workbench.xml file does exist, then delete it and restart WebSphere Studio Application Developer. This should regenerate the file.
If the file does not exist, then create a new workspace and import your work from the old workspace to the new workspace. You should be able to open WebSphere Studio Application Developer with the new workspace.
To import your work from the old workspace to the new workspace follow these steps:
- Manually copy the projects you were working on into the new workspace
- Inside of WSAD, navigate to File > Import.
- Select the option "Existing Project into Workspace" and browse for the copied project in the new workspace directory.
- You can repeat this process for each project you need to move to the new workspace.
