The system clock loses time (slows down) on a single processor system configured with Serial ATA (SATA) hard drives under Red Hat Enterprise Linux, version 3, update 3.
Affected configurations |
---|
The system may be any of the following IBM IntelliStations:
- an IntelliStation Z Pro, type 6223, any model
- an IntelliStation Z Pro, type 6227, any model
The following network operating system is affected:
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux, version 3, update 3

Change Native Mode Operation to Serial ATA
Changing Native Mode Operation |
---|
- Press F1 to access the Configuration/Setup utility program. Click here for more information on Configuration/Setup Utility program - Servers
- Select Devices and I/O Ports.
- Select Native Mode operation.
- Change the Native Mode operation setting from from Auto to Serial ATA
- Save and exit the Configuration/Setup utility program.
- Reboot the system.
