After an undetermined amount of time, the IBM Remote Supervisor Adapter II (RSA II) Slimline or baseboard management controller (BMC) error log will report a software Non Maskable Interrupt (NMI).
Affected configurations |

The system may be any of the following IBM eServer xSeries servers:
- IBM eServer xSeries 346, type 8840, any model
- IBM eServer xSeries 236, type 8841, any model
- IBM eServer xSeries 336, type 8837, any model
The system's diagnostics pass.

Update the BMC code to the latest level for your system.

This software NMI is not a functional problem, but a false informational message that is being logged. This will not reboot the server and causes NO catastrophic events to occur.
