Dependencies: The DAT72(DDS Gen 5)SCSI was tested and is certified for supported use in Windows 2000, Windows 2003, and Windows 2008. The DAT72 (DDS Gen 5) SATA was tested and is certified for supported use in Windows 2003 and Windows 2008 only.

  • Supports Pentium (IA32).
  • Operates DDS, DDS-DC, DDS2, DDS3, DDS4.
  • Relative to 4mmdat.sys, timeouts are increased to 15 minutes for Read, Write, Write Filemarks, Space, Locate, Erase(short), and Rewind operations. Old timeout values ranged from 6 to 8 minutes. Longer timeouts are needed only when a tape drive performs an error recovery procedure because of a difficulty reading a tape.
