Are there any Oracle Solaris 10 or Solaris 11 features that are not supported on IBM Rational ClearCase?

Answer

For ClearCase 8.0.x

These Solaris 10 and Solaris 11 features are not supported by ClearCase:

  • Process Management Rights, Least Privilege, and Process Rights Sets
  • Authorizations
  • Predictive Self Healing

Features introduced in Solaris updates which are not supported by ClearCase:

Note: NFS v4 is only supported with AUTH_SYS authentication with ClearCase.

Note: ClearCase does not support OpenSolaris or Solaris Express.


For ClearCase 7.x

These Solaris 10 features are not supported by ClearCase:

  • Process Management Rights, Least Privilege, and Process Rights Sets
  • Authorizations
  • Predictive Self Healing
 

Note: NFS v4 is only supported with AUTH_SYS authentication with ClearCase versions 7.0.0.5, 7.0.1.4 and 7.1.0.1 or later. Refer to technote 1409405 NFSv4 support and ClearCase for further details.


** Neither Open Solaris nor Solaris Express are supported with Rational ClearCase and ClearCase LT.
