Text from the audio portion of the SCSI back plane installation movie

To install the SCSI back plane:

  1. Position the back plane into the bay area aligning the hinge tabs on the card with the hinge pins on the frame.
  2. Rotate the card up and secure it in place with the two latching tabs.
  3. Connect SCSI power and SCSI signal cables to the back plane.

Note: The movie above will give you a closer look at a hinge tab and pin.

  1. Install any hot-swap drives by pushing the drives into the bay.
  2. Close the handle to latch into place.
  3. Install the hot-swap fan bracket by ensuring that the bracket levers are in the open position.
  4. Position the bracket into the chassis using the alignment tabs as a guide.
  5. Rotate the levers to the locked position.

Note: The movie above will give you a closer look at the alignment tab and the slot in the chassis.

  1. Close the cover by positioning the cover over the chassis aligning the tabs in the cover with the slots in the chassis.
  2. Slide the cover forward while rotating the cover release latch to the closed position.
