Problem
Having configured an IIS Gateway for a Cognos Analytics, the user is receives the message
The provided credentials are invalid. Please type your credentials for authentication
when attempting to access Cognos Analytics.
Note: this solution is not applicable to Kerberos
Resolving The Problem
- Open Cognos Configuration (if multi-server, the Content Manager install)
- Go to Security > Authentication > [your namespace]
- Edit 'Advanced Properties'
- Add the parameter: Name: singleSignOnOption Value: IdentityMapping
- OK
- Restart Cognos Service
