Abstract

Support for additional MDM policies for Honeywell devices

Content

MaaS360 adds support for the following policies for Honeywell devices:

Policy: Near Field Communication (NFC)

Path: Android MDM policy > Device Settings > Restrictions > Network Settings

Description: The device can use Near Field Communication (NFC) for short-range communications if the setting is on.

Policy: Allow SD Card

Path: Android MDM policy > Device Settings > Restrictions > Device Feature Restrictions

Description: The device can use an SD card. If this setting is disabled in the policy, the SD card cannot be mounted on a device.

Policy: Allow USB Debugging

Path: Android MDM policy > Device Settings > Restrictions > Developer Options

Description: The device provides options for USB debugging, where users can use the Android SDK to connect a device to a computer.

Policy: Allow USB Media Player (MTP, PTP)

Path: Android MDM policy > Device Settings > Restrictions > Device Feature Restrictions

Description: The user can connect a device to a computer and transfer files between devices if the setting is off.

Policy: Allow Wi-Fi

Path: Android MDM policy > Device Settings > Restrictions > Network Settings

Description: The device can use wifi. If this setting is disabled in the policy, access to wifi is still available for wifi-only devices.

Policy: Allow Mock Locations

Path: Android MDM policy > Device Settings > Restrictions > Developer Options

Description: The user cannot fake the GPS location on a device.

Policy: Allow Data Network

Path: Android MDM policy > Device Settings > Restrictions > Network Settings

Description: The device can use cellular data if the setting is on.

Policy: Allow USB Mass Storage

Path: Android MDM policy > Device Settings > Restrictions > Device Feature Restrictions

Description: The user can connect a device to a computer through the USB port and transfer files between devices if the setting is on.

Policy: Allow Installation of Non-Google Play Applications

Path: Android MDM policy > Device Settings > Security > App Security 

Description: Allows installation of apps from unknown sources.
