Problem

REMOTE_ADDR field [env] is intended for storing a single IP address only.

Solution
Commonly this field is overwritten using Privacy rules with the: client true IP address value when the upstream address is actually a proxy server or firewall address.? If a larger value such as the IP address list in HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR
is overlaid onto this field the value is truncated.

In version 8.x this value becomes the TltStsIPaddr session attribute which appears in cxConnect data as the Source IP.? In those cases characters after position 39 are truncated.
