Sometimes it is desirable to streamline the process of logging into the CLI of an API Connect Management appliance. Examples include:

  • check server status
  • issue a reboot request
  • automated backup/restore
  • export system logs
This article (https://developer.ibm.com/apiconnect/2016/06/22/automating-apic-management-cli-operations/) describes how to configure the appliance to use SSH keys to help automate these tasks. It can be used with APIM v4 and APIC v5 management servers.
